EverSafe Driving Program®
Instructor Training

Evergreen Safety Council is currently accepting applications for our EverSafe Driving Program® Instructor training course. If you are interested in becoming an instructor, you will need to complete the following steps:

STEP 1: Click here to fill out our EverSafe Driver Instructor application and submit the required documentation.  Required documentation includes the following:

• Statement of interest: Please write 200-700 words (1-3 paragraphs) about why you want to become an EverSafe Driving instructor. This letter should also include any presentation, teaching, and/or commercial driving experience you may have. Be as specific as possible.
• Valid driver license
• UBI Number: All prospective EverSafe Driving instructors must provide their employer's UBI number for verification purposes.

STEP 2: Complete an Authorized Training Provider (ATP) agreement. All instructors must be employed by or be a subcontractor of an Authorized Training Provider (ATP). Our ATP licensing agreement will be sent digitally via DocuSign. If your company is already an ATP, you may disregard this step.

STEP 3: Register and pay for the course. Once the ATP agreement is complete, we will send you a link to register and pay for the course.

STEP 4: Complete the Council's online instructor training. Evergreen Safety Council requires all instructors to complete our self-directed online instructor training modules prior to attending an in-person instructor training course.  You will receive a link to access the online modules once your course fee has been paid. 

STEP 5: Attend the 2-day instructor class.  You must meet or exceed the Council’s standard on your teach-back evaluation and pass the instructor exam with a score of 90% or better.

STEP 6: Certified! Once you have completed all the steps outlined above, we will issue your instructor certification that is valid for 3 years. Congrats!
